Woodland Trees and Conifers
Nicholsons
Plants grows and stocks a full range of container
grown and bare root woodland trees and conifers.
We
cater for all sorts of needs from small shelterbelts
to copses and large woodland plantings. For these
schemes we are able to offer a good variety of
sizes to give your project a more visual impact.
Typically
in a shelterbelt for instance, people might plant
a handful of large specimen trees, a few medium
trees in our potted native range of 8lt to 20lt
pots and fill in the margins with a mixture of
bare root and potted shrubs. This gives a good
impact and a variety of scale – otherwise
some plantings can look very flat if the same
size is specified throughout.
In
garden situations, especially in countryside areas
our tree range offers a selection of small tree
interest. Species such as cherry, crab apple,
birch, wild pear all work to enhance boundaries,
shrub areas and hedge rows from a conservation
and wildlife perspective.
If
your plans are grand and you are planning a woodland
development we can supply and deliver all your
needs through Nicholsons Plants from potted trees
through to bare root ones and all the protection
that you may require. Nicholsons Forestry
Division offers a full planting and advisory service
should you require assistance with your scheme.
