Nicholsons Plants

Located in the small Oxfordshire village of North Aston, Nicholsons has been an established horticultural business for more than three decades. Almost ten years ago, after many years supplying native woodland trees to landowners and the trade, Nicholsons opened a new Plant Centre that now offers a diverse range of trees, shrubs and essential gardening materials to the enthusiastic amateur gardener.

The 22 acre nursery produces over 55000 top-quality plants and trees each year, including hedging plants, herbaceous shrubs and border plants, ornamental trees, climbers, fruit bushes and, of course, the native woodland species that have been the mainstay of Nicholsons' stock since the company was founded.

Nicholsons also stocks many unusual and ornamental species, as well as topiary and container-grown plants.

In addition to regular home gardeners, Nicholsons also supplies plants to garden designers, landscapers and landowners. Current customers include Blenheim Palace, Daylesford Organics, Waddesdon Manor, The National Trust, several Oxford colleges and The Peach Pub Company.

Plant Centre opening times are:

Regular Weekdays
Monday to Friday, 7.30am-4.00pm
Closed most Bank Holidays

Saturdays
We open on selected Saturdays during the year, particularly during busy planting or sale periods. The Plant Centre will be open every Saturday during March, April and May, from 9:00am through to 12:00 noon

Bank Holidays
We are closed on most bank holidays except:
Good Friday, open 9.00am-4.00pm
Easter Monday open 9.00am-1.00pm
