The
move towards peat-free growing
media

first Country Garden open day in April
2010 was a huge success. In June we followed
that with a second, and then had two more before

Movement
Nicholsons is joining the
national Transition Movement, and has started
by implementing an
Energy Decent Action Plan to meet the
company's short and long-term goals for reducing
its impact on the environment.
By engaging
with staff, suppliers and customers, Nicholsons
hopes to achieve a gradual transition to a more
sustainable future.

Working
with Fernando Caruncho
Nicholsons Landscaping division
has been contracted to create an exciting contemporary
garden in the Cotswolds. The concept for the garden
is the work of avant garde Spanish designer Fernando
Caruncho, and will be the first example of his
work to be executed in the UK.

Project
Children from Bladon C of
E Primary School have been working with the Sylva
Fioundation and Nicholsons to learn more about
the world of trees, and by taking part in the
OneOak Project, will examine the lifecycle of
an oak tree from tiny acorn to massive sentinel
of the forest.
